City’s last win against Liverpool came in the 2016 Capital One Cup final as the blues won the cup on penalties 1-3 with goalkeeper Willy Caballero saving 3 in a row to give City their second League Cup win in 3 years.

All eyes will be on former Liverpool man Raheem Sterling in Sundays clash, who left Liverpool for City in a huge fee of £50 million with Kopite fans not too happy over the way he left the club.

He will be looking for his first league win over his former side after being one of City’s star men this season scoring 6 times with 12 assists in the league.

Liverpool go to the Etihad sitting in 4th place only a point behind Manchester City however have played one more game than them.

Klopp’s men travel to the Etihad on Sunday with good confidence after recently beating both Spurs and Arsenal to mix things up at the top of the table and after a comfortable 2-1 win over Burnley.

However, the red men have also lost two of their last five games losing to relegation battlers Hull and Leicester.

Liverpool will be without central midfielder and captain Jordan Henderson on Sunday as he has been ruled out of the fixture with a foot injury.

However, Daniel Sturridge and Roberto Firmino were both rested in their last game, so will both be fully fit to play.

Liverpool’s main man Philippe Coutinho who missed the last game against City due to injury will be in the team to face Pep’s men who will also be looking forward to facing City as he has scored against them on four occasions being on the winning side 3 times.

The game is set to be a cracker with both sides going all out for the win, plenty of goals normally being scored in this fixture with two good sides looking to secure top 4 and catch Chelsea.
